Believing in the importance of supporting each other as a society, we are committing a percent of all our sales or proceeds as a way of giving back to our community with a focus on:

1. Mental health, especially among children and youth with chronic illnesses.

2. Education, in particular for underserved minorities.

3. Animal welfare (cats, dogs, and other pets).

Some people ask me why do you do that, and leave that much money out. The answer is in my journey.

First is mental health. As a pediatrician with a focus on chronic blood diseases and cancer in children for more than 10 years, I experienced first-hand the challenges that children and teenagers deal with as they go through the treatment journey. I saw the ups and downs, the unstable family dynamics for some of them, and how that all affect their mental well-being given the current limited resources. I believe we can support them more and help them cope in this difficult journey.

Second is education. I grew up in Egypt in a middle-class family that always prioritized and believed in the value of education. That inspired me to be on a path to learn every day, and I saw how knowledge transformed who I am. I want to help others who are also from minority or disadvantaged communities, kids and adults, to have better educational opportunities as much as I can.

Finally, third is animal welfare. I have to admit that I was never a pet person until 2019 when I got to meet and know Mr. Darcy who made me fall in love with cats and all other pets, especially dogs. Now, I have two cats (Cairo and Coco), who are occasionally trouble makers, and I absolutely love them. I wanted to see other animals have comfortable life and someone to care for them as I do for mine.

Please meet Cairo (left) and Coco (right)!
